Description
Key responsibilities may include but not Limited to:
- Route Planning: Plan the most efficient routes for transportation, taking into account factors such as distance, traffic patterns, and delivery schedules.
- Coordination: Coordinate with drivers, dispatchers, and other transportation staff to ensure timely pickups and deliveries.
- Monitoring: Transport Controllers monitor the movement of vehicles in real-time using tracking systems or communication devices to ensure they stay on schedule and follow prescribed routes.
- Communication: Serve as the primary point of contact for drivers, customers, and other stakeholders, providing updates on delivery statuses and addressing any issues or concerns that arise during transit.
- Compliance: Transport Controllers ensure that all transportation activities comply with relevant regulations and safety standards, such as vehicle maintenance, driver hours-of-service regulations, and cargo handling protocols.
- Problem-solving: Troubleshoot any logistical or operational challenges that arise, such as traffic delays, vehicle breakdowns, or inclement weather conditions, to minimize disruptions to the transportation process.
- Documentation: Maintain accurate records of transportation activities, including trip logs, delivery receipts, and incident reports, for reporting and auditing purposes.
- Cost Management: May also be responsible for managing transportation budgets and optimizing resource utilization to control costs while meeting service level agreement

Salary: R8 000,00 - R15 000,00 per month
